3 Days Mount Toubkal & Azzaden Valley

Sahara Unlimited organises Atlas excursions in Morocco. This is adventure trip in Moroccan mountains, and is available every day.

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil - Azzedene Valley

After your transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (1,780m), we start Toubkal trekking 3 days and you will set off on a 6-hour trek out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. Along the way, you will pass Tizi N’Mzik at 2,450m, the refuge at Azib n’Tansoult and the Ighouliden waterfalls. You will spend your first night in the Lipeney Mountain Refuge at 3,000m (or before at Azib n Tamsoult, depending on your progress on this first day)

Day 2: Azzedane Valley - Toubkal Refuge

Today involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views of the Atlas Mountain Range. You will spend the second night in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut) where you’ll likely be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers who plan on tackling the final part of the Toubkal ascent early the next morning. Day 3: Base Camp - Toubkal - Marrakech

A very early start to climb the summit of mount Toubkal, and why not assist to sun rise over the Atlas Mountains! On top, the superb scenery extending to the Sahara south and magnificent high peaks contrasting with flat low planes north is really breath taking. We start our long way downhill and join the Ouawgant Valley. We reach our last lunch spot at Aremd before the last steps to get to our minibus in Imlil 1700m. After farewells to our Berber team and the Atlas, a 2 hours transfer to your hotel in Marrakech. End of Toubkal trekking 3 days.
